  • Fiduciary Services as Trustee

Choosing an effective trustee to look after your resources, oversee your investments as a fiduciary, and carry out your wishes, is one of the most critical aspects of a good estate and wealth management plan. After all, this is the person or firm who will assist you with the management of your assets now and provide for the proper administration of your trust assets after you are gone. We can help you accomplish your goals by serving as trustee for you and your beneficiaries. We always serve as a fiduciary, with your best interests as our guide.

About Us

Erik D. Spykman, Attorney

Rick Spykman provides counsel and advice at the intersection of legal, business and family matters. Trusted by affluent individuals, families and business owners, he listens and then provides sound counsel to help clients move forward with confidence.

The quality of Rick’s guidance stems from deep experience in real estate, business transactions, corporate formation and counsel, and estate/trust planning, that helps him to anticipate and resolve the issues that often arise for individuals, families, and businesses.  Despite the diversity of his practice, his approach is remarkably consistent: Rick views the practice of law as one in which the people are the subject matter, not the wills or trusts, assets, agreements or transactions.

Rick is a graduate of Calvin University and the University of Notre Dame Law School. He is rated AV “Preeminent” and endorsed for “High Ethical Standing” by Martindale-Hubbell, a leading peer review survey, and is licensed to practice law in Indiana and Michigan.

Rick has a long history of leadership and service with church, education, professional and community organizations. He now serves as a member of the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee of Barnabas Foundation, a $720 million faith-based philanthropic organization.

Rick enjoys boating (having completed the 6000+ mile America’s Great Loop with his wife Rhonda), active outdoor activities, reading, and traveling with family and friends.
